The name Phat Jack should be familiar to any long standing South African house enthusiast. Whether through his years as a buyer, his hosting duties at The Warm Up Jozi or one of his outstanding DJ sets, it would have been difficult to avoid him for the past decade or 2. He was recently given the honour of throwing down a 2 hour Sunday closing set at one of Cape Town’s most interesting festivals: Wolfkop Weekender. The riverside affair is well known for providing DJs with the environment to explore their tastes fully, giving the dancers an experience not often available in the current arena.
