Hi Buhle, welcome to deepstreet!

Hey it’s an absolute honour.

You had a very solid 2019, with a busy gigging schedule and your first ever release. Does this mean we’ll see more DJ Buhle productions in 2020?

Yeah it’s a been a year of building a foundation for DJBuhle. Definitely, Winter’s Call is the debut from the 4 Seasons EP which will come out mid-year.

The Cape Town leg of Lighthouse 2020 will take place in the beautiful coastal town of Kommetjie. Does the environment around you influence your style when you’re DJing?

Oh yes, definitely. I’ll also go with the crowd hey. But I’m definitely going for that deep sound, incorporating elements of the weather. I’m going to experiment.

This year’s Lighthouse will host house acts like Jullian Gomes, Jazzuelle, FKA Mash, Messive Muzik, Floyd Lavine, Leeu & Lazarusman. How do you feel about the overall house representation at the festival?

It’s progressive hey. Very progressive… I’m definitely going to learn a lot.

A cross genre festival such as Lighthouse means there will be some lucky attendees seeing you play for the first time. What should first listeners expect from your performance?

Man oh man, I’m definitely going to take them on an unforgettable journey of musical bliss.
